At the software company TRIMIT, the goal is not just to help businesses automate and optimize their work processes. Above all, they aim to create a work culture that, combined with many years of industry experience, provides the best foundation for developing fashion companies to their fullest potential.

Software solutions are becoming increasingly critical in the fashion industry. Today, both small and large brands work with ERP systems to consolidate data and streamline and automate complex product structures and intricate processes.

This has made software systems a crucial competitive factor that can make a significant difference for any business. According to the Danish-owned software company TRIMIT, the demand for their solutions is palpable. TRIMIT, which is based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, is a popular provider of software systems for the fashion industry, and this is no coincidence, says Carsten Hedemann, CEO of TRIMIT Group.

“For over 25 years, we have specialized in the fashion industry. We have consciously chosen to focus on this specific industry to tailor optimal solutions for companies engaged in fashion. It is our area of expertise, and we have helped clients in Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland, as well as operating in another 10 countries through a partner network,”

Happy employees = Happy customers

Although TRIMIT places great emphasis on their customers, Carsten Hedemann explains that the software company equally focuses on its employees, based on the belief that the best product can only be delivered by having the best, most competent, and most satisfied employees.

“At TRIMIT, we call ourselves: ‘The people you want to work with.’ We do this because we not only deliver the right solutions but also take pride in being the perfect partner. For us, it’s not enough just to sell software solutions. We also want to engage with our customers through knowledgeable, trustworthy, and dedicated employees who enhance the overall experience and provide the best advice,” says Carsten Hedemann, adding:

“We genuinely believe that once a customer feels our motivation, joy, and thoroughness, we can inspire them. Our employees’ enthusiasm for what we excel at should reflect in our collaboration. We believe that’s the way forward. Meeting our customers on an equal footing makes a world of difference, but to do that, it has been necessary for us to create a workplace where our employees are excited to be. We are aware that our employees must love the company before our customers can,” he explains.

Trust is crucial

At TRIMIT, they emphasize openness and honesty with their customers to ensure that the collaboration is based on trust, which is crucial when implementing a technical software system in a creative company.

“If we are to future-proof our customers’ businesses, we must first show that we understand their business to gain their trust. I can understand if a fashion company doesn’t have a strong opinion on software systems—or a significant interest, for that matter. In a creative industry, our products can often seem relatively intangible. Therefore, it is crucial that our customers sense that we bring extensive industry experience and an approachability that quickly identifies where their needs lie. This builds a trust that we can build upon,” asserts Carsten Hedemann.

He also emphasizes that if the trust is missing and there isn’t a sense of alignment with the customer, TRIMIT always chooses to decline the task.

“Of course, we want to help as many customers as possible, but there has to be a match. If we don’t feel that match, we politely decline the collaboration. At TRIMIT, we have the philosophy that we must be compatible with those we work with. Both on the product side and, not least, as people. Only then can we deliver optimal value to our customers,” concludes Carsten Hedemann.
